Good Flavor Bad K-Cup design

Love the flavor once I can get a cup to brew in through the K-Cup.
Not sure if the flaw is your design or my machine. It's 50/50 if the top punches a hole in the cup and if it does sometimes it still causes the water to come out the sides and ruin the cup as the grounds are all mixed in with it.
If I am doing something wrong please explain so I can enjoy this coffee with out having to use 3 K-Cups for one 10oz cup.
Also I thought it was a local New England company and was taken aback when the product came from Illinois.

I don't usually spend much $ on fancy coffee. I've been drinking Maxwell House for years and it serves a purpose, but it isn't anything special by any means. However, I ordered the Chocolate Peanut Butter Blend from It's Been Smithed and damn, it's amazing. I'm not a coffee aficionado by any means, but it seems like a nice happy medium between a medium and a dark roast in terms of flavor. Just smelling the coffee when you first open the bag is sublime. I'm looking forward to trying some new flavors in the near future.
